West Virginia Man Confesses To Sexual Assault While Interviewing To Become A Police Officer

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A 21-year-old West Virginia man was charged with sexual assault after he admitted to a date rape while interviewing for a probationary police officer position.

During a pre-employment interview on Feb. 8, Tyler Ray Price confessed to an officer that he had sex with a woman after going out drinking and recorded the encounter on his phone, WCHS reports. During an interview with the woman on Feb. 23, police learned she did not consent to the sexual encounter and had no knowledge of a recording.

Price contacted the woman after the interview and confessed to the crime, police say.

He is being held in a local jail on a $25,000 bond.

We use the phrase, “life comes at you fast” a lot around these parts, but son of a bitch. Life came at this dude fast. One minute you think you’re setting up a career as a police officer and the next minute you are on your way to jail and eventually prison. How does this even happen? Was the guilt eating him alive or was he just that stupid? I need the tapes of the interview. Not want. Need.

The jail-time chats sitting around the rows of beds in a barracks style room are gonna be fantastic.

“Whattya in fer?”

“Well, you see, I was at the jail for an interview because I wanted to become a parole officer. Things were going really well and I was on my way to landing the job. The interviewer then asked me a canned question about past crimes and the next thing you know, I was crying and confessing to being a rapist. Now I’m going to jail for a few years and will be a sex offender for the rest of my life after that. I deserve it, though, because rape is actually very bad. What about you?”

“Unpaid child support.”

“Ah that sucks. Fuckin kids, man. Hey. Speaking of kids. You ever listen to the Podfathers Show on the outside? It’s presented by Barstool Sports and really good.”
